Any organisation can work with us on calculating and mitigating their carbon footprint and to offset their carbon footprint. We have worked with a full range of business sectors in the past, many with long-term ongoing projects.

February 2009: Mapfre Abraxas is partnering with Blue Ventures Carbon Offset to offset emissions associated with their “Green Gap Insurance Policy”.  Mapfre Abraxas is a well-known and trusted name within the UK Automotive industry, providing GAP, Tyre, MOT, Payment Protection, Warranty and Guarantee schemes along with a high standard of service, quality and support. September 2008: BVCO proudly partnered with Gogreen4schools.  Gogreen4schools aims to provide schools with high levels of income that is dedicated to fighting global warming, while simultaneously offsetting emissions.  The program helps schools, communities and the global environment simultaneously.

September 2008: BVCO has teamed up with Jumeirah and Sirius, a luxury hotel and resort company and its associated rewards and recognition scheme.  Members may now use their accumulated Sirius points to purchase fuel efficient and solar stoves for communities in need through BVCO.

May 2008: The Adventure Company is a unique travel company that creates small group tours to some of the most remote and untouched places on earth.

The Adventure Company has shown great support of BVCO’s work and has been the sole funder of the new stove workshop in Morondava.  Through funds generated by The Adventure Company, May 3rd, 2008 marked the opening of ADES' third stove workshop, in Morondava, Madagascar. The Adventure Company contributes £2 (an equivalent of an offsets of 170kg of the carbon dioxide) for every person that travels with them.  The project is being run in association with Association pour le Développement de l'Energie Solaire, (ADES).

May 2008: Oxford University Climate Change & Caving Expedition to Chile Offsets entire journey for all members with BVCO.  The group travelled from the UK by plane each emitting 1.9 tonnes of carbon dioxide for each leg of the journey. They then sailed over 1000km by ferry to the caves contributing to 0.5 tonnes of carbon dioxide each; along with the reconnaissance trip this amounted to a carbon footprint of 23 tonnes of carbon dioxide. The expedition’s footprint has been fully offset through BVCO and the South Africa fuel efficient and solar stove programme. For more information see:

Eco Hotels of the World is an independent guide to eco hotels around the world. The site offers reviews of hotels across the continents and rates them on a 'green star' system based on; energy use, water use, disposal, eco-activeness and protection of the local environment.

CCC

January 2008: BVCO and Coral Cay Conservation (CCC) launches project to offset emissions from CCC's volunteer's travel. Volunteers are invited to sponsor a stove in the community of Ampassilava.

Ampassilava is a small community on the West coast of Madgascar. This will be the first of a series of projects that CCC will enable through finance to mitigate the carbon emissions of staff and volunteers.

June 2008: Gnewt is a project that works to find quality solutions for everyday living and working that save individuals and businesses money and that are real sustainable solutions. They currently offer electric scooters for sale and eco-interior design consultancy.  Offsets are done through BVCO for each eco-scooter sold.

December 2007: Bright Green Talent is an environmentally-focused executive search and recruitment firm that is channeling the next generation of environmental leaders into meaningful careers.  Their entire carbon footprint is offset through BVCO.

October 2007 - Remodel Consultants International Ltd became carbon neutral. This organisation's carbon footprint was calculated to be 12.8 tonnes of carbon dioxide; and recommendations were then made to reduce their impact.

Remodel works to improve healthcare manufacturing systems; business, operational, and capacity planning. This trade makes them used to improving efficiencies; making them good candidates to sucessully reduce their footprint next year.


September 2007 - Endaba is a company which is about organisational performance through people and is the latest company to go carbon neutral with BVCO. Endaba are experts in turning successful businesses into exceptional businesses, offering consultancy, intelligence, and executive recruitment services.

September 2007 - Local Nights Out, an online entertainment information website, offsets it's carbon with BVCO.

Local Nights Out is an example of another ethical organisation reducing their carbon emissions by utilising energy saving techniques, such as shared webhosting in this case, and then offsetting the remainder of their necessary carbon emissions with BVCO. August 2007:

The Victoria Stakes is a Gastro-pub and restaurant in North London on the borders of Alexandra Palace.  The pub holds a maximum of 250 people and the restaurant 68 people.  BVCO has worked with management to calculate their carbon footprint and is currently working on an on-going energy management programme for the establishment.  The target for the first year is to make an energy reduction of 15% by implementing minimum cost / no cost behavioural changes.

July, 2007: Easyshift.co.uk are a removals company based in London with a fleet of three vehicles that work all over the country.  The company currently produce on average 4.16 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide each year. Now with the help of the BVCO, this amount will be totally offset for 2006/7.

BVCO are working with Easy Shift Managers on a fleet management programme to reduce their carbon emissions and fuel costs by 20%.
