Offsetting Lifestyle

Blue Ventures Carbon Offset has developed several options for calculating and offsetting the carbon associated with your lifestyle, allowing you to live "carbon free".  Fill in the fields on our simple footprint calculator (immediately below) or use our calculated estimates (further below) to offset the carbon associated with home and transportation.  For a more comprehensive estimate of your footprint, BVCO endorses using Defra's more complex carbon calculator, ActOn CO2, which allows you to make more specefic calculations about your carbon emissions.  If you send us the output from this calculator, we are happy to create an invoice, and allow you to offset this amount through our fuel efficiency projects.  We will also provide a well presented certificate of offset.

Simple Footprint Calculator

This calculator will allow you to estimate your annual carbon emissions. In the UK, a
person's carbon footprint is generally comprised of space and water heating, appliance
use, and transportation.  This calculator uses national averages for these and adds
them to information you provide about your transportation habits to create a carbon
footprint.  
Once you have calculated the total emissions, you can offset them through BVCO's
projects (see options to right)

- all carbon calculation assumtions for transport are updated to DEFRA 2008, allowing for the most
accurate calculations
