How?

BVCO uses the government’s new carbon calculator, as an officially recognised model. 

Please complete the questionnaire on the website http://actonco2.direct.gov.uk/  to calculate your carbon emissions. Then send us the output email you receive and we can quote you your offset amount – based on £19.50 per stove per year that is funded.  This output will also provide you with helpful carbon reducing actions to take forward.

You can also compensate you footprint by using national average estimates - see below.

You can also compensate your carbon footprint in the following ways:

Offset a year – £59

Compensate an individual's carbon footprint for a year by funding the implementation of 3 stoves in South Africa to offset approximately 4.5 tonnes of carbon dioxide (the average carbon dioxide emissions associated with an adult UK individual).

Offset a year for two – £98

Compensate a couple's carbon footprint for a year by funding the implementation of 5 stoves in South Africa to offset 8 tonnes of carbon dioxide.

Offset a household – £137

Compensate a householdl's carbon footprint for a year by funding the implementation of 7 stoves in South Africa to offset 10.5 tonnes of carbon dioxide.
